Chris is a former rock promoter and Pro Vice Chancellor known throughout the world for his work on the leadership and management of crowds and his ceaseless endeavor to make crowded places safer. Chris has worked across the world with major companies advising them on the safety of events and crowded spaces and the management of change. He was called down for the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games to advise on all aspects of crowd safety.


Patrick is one of the leading exponents of leadership, management and organisational change. His ability to “see what others do not” and a critical eye that can deliver and develop change throughout an organisation, are two key elements of the work of Mind Over Matter Consultancy. Chief Inspector (retd.) Andrew Brown is an internationally renowned negotiator with specialist experience in kidnap for ransom and hostage/crisis incidents. Fellow of the Chartered Management and Security Institutes and a Fulbright Alumnus, he has worked with the public, private and third sectors, along with law enforcement agencies including NYPD/USMS and the FBI. He remains an Advisor to the Editorial Boards of a range of journals including those in Criminal Psychology, Forensic Research & Crisis Response.


Pete is a Protective Security Professional. He has commanded and supported events of National and International significance including the Royal Wedding 2018. Pete is an accredited Counter Terrorism Security Coordinator, providing advice and developing security plans to minimise, mitigate and manage threats towards significant events.


Sofie is Crowd Safety Manager at ConCom Safety (Roskilde Festival). Sofie has a BA (Hons) in Crowd Safety Management and works with both planning and safety operations at events of all sizes, as well as an advisor for organizers and festivals. She worked as Dansk Live’s representative in a workgroup tasked with the challenge of developing a national framework for safety plans, including event risk assessments and emergency plans. The guidance was published by the Danish National Police in 2015.


Morten is founder and Managing Director of ConCom Safety and has a BA (Hons) in Crowd Safety Management. Morten is one of the leading experts for crowd safety management in Scandinavia and is Head of Security, Health and Safety at Roskilde Festival. Morten started Eventskolen in 2012, and has educated staff from venues in Denmark, as well as crowd safety steward, supervisors and managers at Roskilde Festival, furthermore he is an external lecturer at University College Metropol.


Steve joined Dreamland in February 2018 as Chief Operating Officer after spending 12 years at The O2, London, and most recently, West Ham United Football Club, both as Operations Director. Steve has experience across all operational functions with a commercial and strategic focus as part of senior leadership groups and at Board level.


Carl Dakin is a security professional and business continuity expert with a 25 year career in the Parachute Regiment and United Kingdom Special Forces (UKSF).


Tony is one of the most respected crowd management and security practitioners in the world. His company Show and Event Security (SES) manage some of the UK’s most prestigious events.


With 40 years experience in the safe management of people, Mark has provided high-level strategic and tactical at a range of events worldwide.


Teresa is a highly regarded lecturer and trainer who specialises in event sustainability and sustainability in leadership. She has lectured across the world in these areas.


Danny is one of the UK’s most prestigious contemporary artists and has a unique understanding of the concept of change. He has exhibited globally and teaches regularly at postgraduate level.


Paul is an expert in the development of technology for event and festival environments, especially the use of cashless systems. His knowledge and experience in this area are second to none.


Jim designed the fi rst touring barrier system in the UK and evolved most of the configurations seen on events today including developing special barrier sections to create these systems.


Simon is an industry leader in people movement and crowd dynamics and pioneered the use of dynamic crowd simulation, including the use of mobile phones for tracking pedestrian movement.


Steve has extensive experience in all aspects of event safety for both medium and large scale events. Steve is a Chartered Safety Practitioner (CMIOSH) and is currently the Safety Manager for Star Events.


Chris Hall is a Chartered Health and Safety Practitioner with specific expertise working in the leisure and events sector, including Multi Hall Exhibitions, Arena Concerts, Festivals and Sporting Events.


Callum is one of the top racing drivers in the UK. In 2007 Callum, like many of todays F1 drivers, won the British Formula Ford Championship and he now enjoys a successful career in GT Sportscars.


Jill is a leading Fellow and Examiner of the IDTA and runs one of the top 10 IDTA Dance Examination schools in the world. She has won the prestigious Carl Alan Award twice for excellence in dance teaching and continues to provide the highest level of dance education, whilst mentoring, training and supporting fellow professionals. A leader in her field, she has the expertise to empower individuals to fulfil their full potential.


Katharina is Associate Director of Movement Strategies and a recognised subject-matter expert in people movement & behaviour in complex and dynamic built environmentsShe has almost 15 years of experience in the events industry, and has a track record at some of the world’s most iconic venues and events, including the Commonwealth Games 2014, European Games 2015, and Rugby World Cup 2015.


Pascal Viot has been Head of Department Health, Safety & Security at Paleo Festival Nyon since 2006. Pascal is a sociologist and a researcher and achieved his PhD in 2013 with a research project dealing with urbanism and security during major events.  He is Associate Researcher at the Urban Sociology Laboratory at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and in 2016, he created iSSUE, the Swiss Institut for Urban and Event Safety.


Tim Owen is a Consultant for Major Impact City Events and has over 30 years’ experience leading the collaboration and coordination of large teams during the conception, planning and completion of events.

He has been involved in the Olympic and Paralympic Games, New Years Eve Fireworks, Jubilees, Notting Hill Carnival, commemorative events for the end of the First World War and the first Votes for Women to name a few. Personally awarded by HM The Queen twice for leading the safety and security assurance groups for Her Golden and Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
